Many people do not know enough about their air conditioning unit to be able to perform a simple visual inspection. There are a few simple steps to follow to be able to do this on your own before having to call in AC services in Lake Grove.
First you will want to determine the location of your air conditioning unit or units if you have multple compressor units. Next you will want to make sure there is good air circulation around the unit. If it is too close to a fence or wall it may not be able to work properly. Check for any obvious dents or rust damage. Also, make sure that all parts or cabinents are above ground. For the compressor to be fully functional the unit should not be buried at all and it should be completely level. You can check that the compressor unit is level by using a leveling ruler.
If there are any significant signs of damage inclding dirt or debris caught in the cooling fins you may need to call in AC service to repair your air conditioner. If damage is too significant a new AC installation may be required to get your air conditioner working again.
